Step 1. Since it is hard to find teabag papers in the United States you can find many preprinted teabag squares in craft books and on the Internet. Choose a page of squares that has at least 8 squares. For a Basic Fold #1 Medallion it is best to pick a design that has a different color or design element on one or two of the corners.

Step 2. Using either scissors, paper cutter or craft knife, cut out 8 teabag squares.

Step 3. Fold eight squares.

Step 4. Place first square in front of you with the point of the triangle at the top. Lift the left flap and glue the underside of the flap.

Step 5. (A) Pick up another square and hold it in your left hand with the point up. Let the two right flaps fall open. (B) Pick up the first square that has glue on the left flap. Insert that flap into the flaps of the second square. The flap from square two should slide on top. The other flap should go between the flaps of the second square. Remember to always line up the top points of the triangle shape.

Step 6. Add glue to another square and add it in the same way.

Step 7. Continue adding squares in the same way until you come to the eight square.

Step 8. (A) Insert the eighth square. Flip the flap of the first square over the top of the eight square.

(B) Glue flap down.

Step 9. Finished Triangle Fold Medallion.
