Step 1. Since it is hard to find teabag papers in the United States you can find many preprinted teabag squares in craft books and on the Internet. Choose a page of squares that has at least 8 squares. For a Kite Medallion it is best to pick a design that has a different color or design element on one or two of the corners.
Step 2. Using either scissors, paper cutter or craft knife, cut out 8 teabag squares.

Step 3. Fold eight kites. Be sure each kite is folded with the design facing the same way.
Step 4. From a scrap piece of paper cut a square or circle 4 or 5 inches across for the large medallion or 2 inches for the small medallion.. Just be sure that the kites will completely cover this piece of paper. (This will act as a base to glue your kites on. With this method you can lay it on your card or scrapbook page and experiment with different layouts. When you decide exactly where you want it, glue all corners down securely.)

Step 5. Glue your first kite to the scrap paper with the point of the kite pointing to the middle of your scrap paper.

Step 6. Add another kite next of it. Continue doing this working in a circle.

Step 7. Glue the eighth kite. You now have your first Kite Medallion! Try different designs and colors for many beautiful embellishments for cards or scrapbook pages.
